19th century English craftsmen drew inspiration from Roman and Egyptian styles of the period, this style became known as Regency. A hardy curved crest rail is fitted with open traditional cane elevated over curved corner posts that are joined together with wood seat rails and an upholstered seat elevated by tapering saber front legs.
